Our Mission

We are a small non-profit organization that helps former drug and alcohol addicts and those recently released from the prison system gain real on-the-job experience that they can use as a stepping stone to future employment.

Our clients are paid a salary while being trained to perform their job. They are instilled with values that all employers expect such as: arrive at work on time, respect your employer and your co-workers, never be afraid to ask questions, clean up after yourself, finish your work in a timely manner. We apply an equal weight on strong life skills such as: keeping a healthy work and personal life balance, eating right, exercise, taking time to relax and recharge. And finally, we encourage our clients to participate in community volunteer work to get them involved with and to become part of our community.

The foundation of our work is through the healing power of Jesus Christ and our belief in helping out our community members.

Repair Service, Detailing, Yard Maintenance, Residential and Commercial Cleaning

We have expanded our available services to include auto repairs that range from tire replacement, brake servicing, batteries, to complete engine and transmission rebuilds.  Most of those we serve are ones who are unable to afford to have these things done.

With the receipt of grant funding  we are offering general yard maintenance (lawn mowing and cleanup) in the spring, summer and fall months.  During the winter time we do snow removal on sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots.

Residential and commercial cleaning services have been added to the list of available jobs that our clients are able to perform.

Fundraising

As part of our 2018 fundraising efforts we are in the process of restoring several classic cars for raffle sales and general sales.  We recently completed a 1965 Mustang in a modernized way. As part of this "Resto-Mod" we added modern power steering, power brakes and power windows to make for a amazing daily driver.

We currently have a 1970 Dodge Challenger, a 1967 Mustang, and a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Nascar Edition all being restored for sale.  In addition we have been contracted to restore a 1965 Mustang for a raffle fundraiser for the benefit of the Downpour Music Festival.

We are starting a new fundraiser called 40K in 40 Days.  The funds raised will be used to support those who are enrolled in our Vocational Training Program.  All donations are tax deductible as we a IRS registered 501c3 non profit organization.

The Mustang Story

The restoration of this 1965 Mustang portrays the Survival to Restoration principles. This 50 year old car has survived all these years but was in need of rebuilding to bring it back to like new condition. Its recovery took time and this type of work requires that. When it was restored it was better than it was new from the factory.

The same holds true for our clients that are going from survival through recovery to final restoration. They will transition into better citizens than they thought they could be.  And even better than many others thought as well.

The Five Vocational Training Principles

1.  Practice Punctuality:  Develop the habit of being on time or early for all appointments.

2.  Develop Professionalism:  Includes attitudes, values, and demeanor.  Practice being positive and cordial.  Be respectful of others.  Develop  a reputation of integrity, be honest, just and consistent in what you say or do.

3.  Cultivate Self-discipline:  Anything worthwhile takes discipline.  Stay focused on the long term goal.  Don't be sidetracked.  Train yourself to be persistent and to follow through on projects.  Strive for excellence.

4.  Use Time Wisely:  Don't procrastinate.  Complete projects on time.

5.  Stay Balanced:  Having a strong work ethic includes knowing how to take care of yourself.  Get plenty of sleep.  Eat right.  Take time to relax and recharge.  Keep priorities in life clear.
